Climate change and habitat loss is an IQ test for humanity
Our brains are probably ashamed at how idiotic we are. A billion years of evolution, more neurons and glial cells than stars in the universe, more interconnections than molecules in the universe, and yet, we’re no better than lemmings leaping off cliffs. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, climate change and habitat loss is, fundamentally, an IQ test for humanity. So far, pet rocks and door stops are running circles around us.
“What about the jobs? What about the economy?” they ask. This is like someone in Nazi Germany asking “where would all the prison guards and SS officers do if we stopped the holocaust?” ; “What about those people whose livelihoods depend on manufacturing Zyclon B?, Who’s going to take care of their kids’ college tuition?”
Perspective much? If the above paragraph got under your skin, that’s what it feels like to experience true metanoia or repentance. Repentance is not walking around calling yourself a sinner. It is literally “thinking again”; re-pent. It is seeing the shit for what it is.
Our economy is one massive holocaust, methodically exterminating not just races and lineages, but entire species, ecologies and humanity itself.
Everyone in the top 10% of this economic system are no different from SS guards at Auschwitz. We are showing up to work every day just like they did. We are doing our jobs and going home to our spouses…
