They’ll create a new mythology, making the challenger a hero who is unbeatable and infallible — except it will be their voice and vision that the ghost of the challenger stands for. And in doing so, they’ll turn the very essence of the challenger’s message on its head, twisting it into a tool that bolsters the World Order he sought to tear down.
Oh, and they might even claim that his mom is an immaculate virgin and set up statues of her with a clearly labeled collection box in front.
